Art and design have been foundational in my life. My art style consists of vibrant colors, aesthetic, imagery, fashion and memories. My personal favorite expression of my artistic ability is either fashion design or capturing memories and personal experiences whether that be through photography, sketches, graphic designs or painting. I have worked largely through the medium of paint and pencil, but throughout college I have become consumed with digital art and design. I aspire to be a successful graphic designer bringing ideas to life and elevating brands. I am influenced by movies, characters, social media, magazines, buildings and architecture, nature, interior design and fashion. When asked the question of “what do you want to be when you grow up?” my response would have reflexively been “fashion designer.” You could not have pried my sketch book, outlines and easel out of my hands. Interestingly enough, I admired the character of Cruella Deville with her fashion career (not the animal/human cruelty part) but sketching ideas and seeing them come to life with breaking the boundaries in style and poise. My many sketchbooks were filled with images and sketches and my family members never had to ask what I wanted for Christmas - they knew my response would be “art stuff.” To this day, my rewards account at michaels receives lots of love.
